Living in the global village Part: 1/Intro

The global village is when we shrink the world into 100 people in a village.

Every day in British Columbia, 20% of the child population in B.C. suffer from poverty; not enough to eat. To solve this problem, my class is performing a Shakespear play at Gordon Head Middle School, and getting donations from spectators. It is "Midsummers Night Dream" and will be played at 6:30 on June 19th or 20th.

Come see our play and donate as little as a toonie that will be donated to the Mustard Seed Food Bank.

Kids metting their basic needs Part: 2

In the world, money isn't devided equally. To make a living in this global village you need to make $4000 - $6000 a year. The richest 20 people in this global village make $9000 a year, the porrest 20 people make less than a dollar a day, and the other 60 people have somethig in between. This shows us how lucky we are with all of our extra cash that we spend on desighner hoodies, 50" plasma screen TV's and stuff like that.

Living in the global village Part:3

With out air we die. 32 people in this global village don't breathe clean air, without clean air we cant live properly to survive. If we started walking and biking more we might not have as big of a problem. Cars produce 95% of the cabon dioxide that is in the air.

In Toronto 440 people die each year from car pollution costing te economy $2.2 Billion.

Living in the global village Part: 4

Water is one of our main sources. The human body is about 62% water, now that's alot of water.only 75 people in the global village drink clean water, the other 25 dont. Without clean water we cant survive. Building wells and keeping our lakes/rivers clean is the next step to becoming a better world.
